Halo Nevus, also known as vitiligo acquisitum centrifugal. Halo nevi are common benign skin lesions that represent melanocytic nevi with it develops the inflammatory infiltrate, causing a zone of depigmentation around the nevus. Appear as one or more uniform color, uniform, round or oval nevi centrally, even peripheral margins of hypopigmentation. The central nevus may be brown, pink or brown.
The size of the halo varies but generally is of uniform radial distance of the central nevus. Halo nevi are usually seen in young people. Halo nevi are found most frequently in children. The average age of onset is 15 years. All breeds are susceptible to developing these lesions. A halo nevus familial predisposition has been reported. Part mole tends to flatten and may disappear completely. The white area in May remain if the moon has disappeared, or normal skin color may return.
Halo moles are not dangerous or infectious, but are sometimes a sign that something is wrong with the skin. Halo nevi are sometimes observed in people with vitiligo. Up to 50% of people have more of a halo nevus. Halo nevi May arise in patients with malignant melanoma. Atypical moles are more common in people with halo nevi. Atypical moles are considered a higher risk to become cancerous. Removal of a halo nevus is unnecessary.
If it has characteristics of atypical nevi, a traditional division in which the mole a nevus Halo may be moved by shaving or cutting. Halo nevi are considered safe and self-limited and are untreated. Sunscreens should be applied to all skin during the summer to avoid sunburn sun. White skin a nevus Halo burns easily in the sun all because they lack the protective pigment melanin.
